What data do we collect and process

We collect your data when you complete a membership application form. This information is stored on the club website but can only be accessed by committee members to enable them to carry out their duties on behalf of the club. This information cannot be seen by the general public

We collect data such as name, address, email address, telephone number and emergency contact numbers. This information is only used to inform members of club activities or if we need to use your emergency contacts in case of emergency.

Please be aware your contact details will be passed on to the British Caving Association (not your emergency contact details) for insurance purposes. In respect of the details given to the BCA you can find more information on their Privacy Notice on the BCA website at which sets out how this data will be used.

How long we keep your personal data

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
